MISS VAN (!); This graffiti-piece was the very first "Miss Van" I've seen, 5 years ago in the streets of Barcelona. I never knew of someone being so familiar with FAFI and I was surprised and since then the rose-coloured glasses where placed on my nose. She signed her wall-painting w/ "Miss Van" and as soon as I've arrived back in VIE, I immediately googled her. I was into FAFI-women, now I was into Miss Van Chix as well. Now I tend to be more drawn to the more fierce and darker portrayal of women by Miss Van. I like the curves, the bald and rude attitude she puts on her mama's faces & bodies.. They seem rougher, more wicked and more bitter to me (and that's actually life does w/girls and turn them into... gettin' us to show our edged claws) than those sweet version embodied in Fafinettes... I consider Miss Van Bunnies being the response to "Good Girl Gone Bad"; even though her creatures where already long "alive" before RI's equally named album. I like the enigma she includes into her painting's messages.
