cut-n-shaved

KELIS back in 2007.
She actually was one of the first chix who were "brave" enough to execute that "haircut-n-shave". okay.. strange, but the "get bald on one side of your cranium"-movement kinda gets me these days... hmm... JACK D. (!), KELIS, RI, ALICE, cassie, ...
and it suits 'em all, I think. But the question just automatically obtrudes when watching women get rid of their hair, one by one: "who was the first takin that step?" Okay, it's so official, that punks in the early 70's raised attention w/that hairdo; but who of 'em "celebrities" were inspired to make it "socially acceptable"?

I think at the end of the day it's all about being inspired and how you individually regulate the transformation of styles. just copying is so whack, but if you do acknowledge and pay respect to the originators, i guess it's okay (all good) to dabble in styles (that u'd started admiring from the very first time u'd seen/recognized em on others). In my opinion, a transformation's code of practice lies in the necessity of maintaining a certain "SELF".

there's a "comeback"-interview w/ Kelis on "honey mag" (http://www.honeymag.com/2009/uncategorized/milf-shake-kelis)
